Allow the Captain J.P. III to steal you away on a scenic adventure down the Hudson River while you relax and enjoy that all so special occasion.
The Captain J.P. III is a dinner boat with three decks and a capacity of 450 passengers. Its two climate controlled enclosed decks can seat 350 people for dinner, while still allowing plenty of room on the open air decks for strolling or dancing the night away under the stars. Full service bars and spacious dance floors are located throughout this extraordinary vessel, but if sightseeing is your pleasure, the Captain J.P. III affords panoramic views from anywhere on-board.
Allow our special occasion coordinator to assist you with each and every detail, from the delicious food prepared in our on-board galley, to the decorations to give you the ambiance you desire. Whether you’re planning a corporate function, formal, fund-raiser, or just that once in a lifetime party, the Captain J.P. III, and its experienced staff will assist you in all aspects of planning and allow you the luxury of actually enjoying your own function.
PRICING:
To determine the cost of your private charter, please reference the minimum guarantees below as well as the Packages 1 – 3. For a private charter, you must select either the Sit-Down Dinner, the Buffet, or the Heavy Hors D’oeuvres package – any beverage package or a la carte hors d’oeuvres would be in addition to this package. These packages include your meal choice, a DJ, a three-hour cruise plus an additional 30 minutes for boarding, gratuity, and your choice of linen napkin color (not included in the heavy hors d’oeuvres package).
**Additional hours are available for your private charter at a cost of $800.00 per hour.**
A 20% deposit is required within 14 days from booking in order to reserve the date. An additional 8% will be added to all charter prices for NYS sales tax.
Please note that we do accept deposit or balance payments on Visa or MasterCards, but there will be a 3% surcharge added for processing.
MINIMUM GUARANTEES:
The Captain J.P. requires that you meet minimum guarantee requirements to privately charter the boat, or to privately charter one deck. These guarantees vary, depending on day and time.
Monday-Friday Afternoons:
125 people = entire boat
90 people = one deck
Sunday-Thursday Evenings:
150 people = entire boat
125 people = second deck
Saturday & Sunday Afternoons:
175 people = entire boat
125 people = second deck
Friday Evenings:
300 people = entire boat
200 people = first deck
100 people = second deck
Saturday Evenings:
300 people = entire boat
200 people = first deck
100 people = second deck
Maximum Seating Capacity:
1st deck (lower inside deck)=200 people
2nd deck (main level)=150 people
**The outside areas of the Capt. JP III are available for all of our patrons on the boat that evening.**
The Capt. JP III departs from Downtown Troy, at the intersection of State & Front Streets, where free parking is provided on all weekends, and anytime after 5PM during the weekdays.
